Let's test your strength of decision making, shall we? I will give you difficult situations where you have to choose between either your sanity and one of the boys, or between the guys themselves. Hope you're prepared.....
Difficult Situation #1: You have just come from an awesome day at the park (in London, England) with John Deacon, Roger Taylor, Brian May, and Freddie Mercury (don't ask why, just go with it). You are all a little sunburned and weary, though you all are happy as can be. It was perfect. The early 70's, Queen, and sunset. Could you be any luckier?
You start to head for home and then you realize something. About a half-mile away from your house thereis a narrow sidewalk that continues past your house. This sidewalk only has room for 2 to walk together at a time. Who do you walk with?
Difficult Situation #2: You are at a theme park, enjoying the afternoon with friends. You've been there about, maybe, 3 hours and it's getting kinda dark outside, as if there was a storm coming. Uh-oh. Look's like you have time for 1 more ride (the smallest roller-coaster they have) and some cotton-candy.
You start walking rather quickly, as you don't want to get stuck in the rain, and suddenly, you bump into somebody. A man. Blonde-hair, kinda-tall, and wearing...sunglasses. Who would wear sunglasses on a dark day like this? You drop your stuffed-snake. Oh my gosh! It's Roger Taylor! You look behind him and realize Brian May is with him too! Wow! What a chance, what a stroke-of-luck to meet them in a theme park! You collect yourself (after a few moments of disbelief) and apologize, like, a million times. He smiles (don't you love when he does that?!) and says:
"It's alright. Brian and I were just going to go on the roller-coaster over there and leave to go to the party. Why don't you come with us?"
Oh wow. You just got invited to go to a party with Roger Taylor and Brian May. You quickly check your pulse. Are you sure you haven't died and gone to heaven? Good. Your pulse if fine, if a bit fast. But now to more important things. The roller-coaster Roger mentioned was the biggest one there. Just looking at the 305 foot incline and the sheer drop at a blinding 93 mph makes you want to grab your stuffed-snake and suck your thumb. What do you do?
Difficult Situation #3: You are at a glorious summer's eve party wearing a fantastic dress mingling among the crowd. It's warms outside, cool inside, and you're the top of the pops. You look great walking around in your lovely dress, with your hair so nice, and a glass of champagne in your hand. You look like you have the world in the palm of your hand.
You saunter over to the hostess and she secretly informs you of 4 special guests coming tonight. No one else has been told. In fact, she won't even tell you who they are! Suddenly the door opens, and a dazzling light shines through. In the middle of that light you can make out a shadow resembling...
FREDDIE MERCURY! Oh my god! You already guessed who the other 3 are, and you're fighting to keep your composure. As he walks down the steps in an awesome suit followed by Roger, Brian, and John (each in their own outstanding evening wear *think Who Wants to Live Forever with Roger wearing a nice suit instead*).
You smile and decide you'll wine and dine these guys like you've done the rest of the crowd. Well...you hope. The first target is John. He's standing alone with the perfunctory drink in his hand, taking the crowd into perspective. You put on your warmest smile and make your way over. After a few minutes, you two are deep in conversation and before you know it, an hour has passed. You slyly make your move to exit when he asks you to meet him at 11 in the parking lot. You readily agree and make your way to the center of the crowd where you know you'll find...
Roger Taylor. He's gonna be hard, but you've got your mind (and your heart) set on it. After fighting through the hordes of women that surround him, you finally get him alone after some fine weedling. You put on your most dazzling smile and proceed to make interesting conversation. It wasn't as hard as you thought it might be, and pretty soon, you were again in deep conversation. You look up after a bit to the clock, and find you've been talking to him for an hour! You have to get on with the rest of your plan (you still have Brian and Freddie left), but before you leave, Roger asks you to meet him by his car at 11. Again you agree faster than someone could say "No, you already agreed to meet with John." In fact, you agreed much faster than that. But on with the show.
Next target: Brian May. He's talking to a select few over by the punch bowl, and it looks as if he has their rapt attention. This could get difficult. You make your way over and insert yourself into the conversation. Since you and Brian have so many things in common, it wasn't hard to dominate the conversation. Meanwhile, the others took the hint and left, leaving you with Mr. Curly. He's the best conversationalist so far, making you feel like you're completely at peace with yourself and the world. You shake yourself out of it and look at the clock. Yup, another hour. Boy these guys can talk! You politely try to exit, but not before he asks you to meet him at the fountain at 11. You agree quickly again before you take into consideration the OTHER TWO MEMBERS OF QUEEN YOU ALREADY AGREED TO MEET! Sheesh.
Now for the final frontier: Freddie Mercury. You take a breath, drain your champagne, and make your way to him with high spirits. He's not surrounded by people like you thought he'd be, but elusive, standing with a few others keeping mostly to himself. Good, all the more easier for you. You siddle up next to him and say hi. He says hi back, but goes on looking about. You frown and try again to start a conversation. You fail again. After many unsuccessful starts, you finally get into conversation with the man himself--Freddie Mercury. This was so cool! You talk about a number of things, none of which relate to each other and have a great time. In the midst of all your laughing you manage to look up at the clock. An hour and a half! Whoa. You've gotta go. You say good-bye and start walking away. Freddie catches up to you and asks if you'll meet him by the Ice Sculpture in 15 minutes. You agree.
Now, let's see what you've gotten yourself into. You check the clock again and find out that in 15 minutes it'll be 11 o'clock!!! What an idiot. Now you face one of the most difficult situations of your life. Which member of Queen will you be willing to stand up the 3 other member's for?
