Actually, Brian looks a bit more than angry. He really looks as if he could hurt somebody at that moment. You look at Freddie for comfort, be he's as scared as you are. Perhaps you shouldn't stick around for this fight.
You start edging for the door, keeping your eye's on Brian the whole time. One little slip and it's all over. You really had no idea how attached Brian was to his Red Special...and how frail friendships can be if the said guitar is lost.
Freddie caught your eye and mouthed 'Run on the count of 3' to you. You nod. Your heart was beating very fast now. This was not some hide-and-seek or tag game you used to play with your friends. This was get-the-hell-out-of-the-studio-alive, a bit more serious game than the latter two. You look to Freddie again. '1...2...3!'
You both tear out the door speed downstair, Brian hot on your heels. Correct that, you don't actually speed downstairs, you fall. Whatever you did, it was fast, so you got up and smashed through the door. In the distance you could see a supermarket and thought, 'Hey! It's crowded there, he wouldn't dare chase us!'
You motion to Fredie to follow you and speed off. Um, well, okay, not speed, more of a run/jog. After all, it's been a while since you've had to run for your life. Especially from Brian May who has legs twice as long as yours.
You silently curse your shortness and keep running. Only 1 block to the supermarket. You puff, and puff, and keep running. Freddie is well ahead of you now and the only thing that's keeping Brian back is his kindness towards people on the street.
You finally reach the supermarket and Freddie is inside waiting for you.
"Where have you been? I thought he had you!"
You tried to get your breath and tell him that Brian was right behind you, but didn't get the chance. 2 seconds after you walked in, Brian rushed after you. You caught sight of him and ran left. Freddie ran right, Brian tagging behind him.
You make your way as fast as you can through the dwindling crowds. Signs fly past you. Candy, canned goods, fruit, deli, frozen, and finally, wine & beer. You look behind you to make sure that Brian is nowhere to be seen. You see a flash of curly hair. That's all it took to send you down the nearest aisle: wine & beer.
You creep down the aisle, trying to be as silent as you can.
"Hey! I didn't expect you to be here! Aren't you supposed to be looking for Brian's guitar?" A familiar voice asks you.
Your head snaps up and you find yourself staring at Roger Taylor. 'So that's where he went after he left.' You shake your head and smile. Then you remember that Brian is on a man hunt for you and Freddie. You run behind Roger and try to hide. It's not easy when he's as skinny as he is. You stand side-ways. Maybe that will work.
Roger laughs. "What are you doing? Playing a game? I'm sorry, I'm through with games after today."
"This is not a game!" you whisper fiercely in his ear. "Brian is after me and Fred for some reason! I think we really made him mad."
Roger frowns. "Oh, well, then let's get out of here, shall we?"
He starts to make his way toward the cash registers with his selections when you see Freddie tearing wild eye'd across the aisle and Brian hot on his heels. If it hadn't been so serious, you would have laughed. Of course, it only gave you more reason to get out of there faster.
Roger made his purchases (quite a few actually...you can guess what) and you left the supermarket with him, going back to his hotel.
