Although Naboo isn't in any of the previous Star Wars films, it figures prominently in Episode I. The movie starts with Qui-gon Jinn and a young Obi-Wan Kenobi venturing to the small planet on a diplomatic mission that turns into much more than that. When they reach Naboo, the Nemoidians, who, by the way, have enforced a trade blockade on Naboo, lock the Jedi in the meeting room. They, of course, escape to the rather unknown aspect of Naboo, Ota Gunga. There they meet Boss Nass. They convince him to set free a very clumsy (and much hated) gungan named JarJar Binks. He was supposed to lead them throught the core. When they surfaced, they found the young Queen Amidala captured. They rescued her and took with them many of her protectors. Later in the movie, they return to the beautiful planet to fight a very nasty war in which they win--and find some truths!
