First clean the wound thoroughly. Using your eyes and your fingers if necessary, judge how deep the wound is. If nessary use tweezars or clean boiled water to clean out the wound of blood and other objects. Make sure that the veins and arteries are intact. If they are not (noticed when there is a not a seeping of blood but a pumping of blood) then they will either need to be stiched or, when nessary they need to be seared shut. See stitching or searing for details.
If the wound is not deep, clean the wound, take a jar of healing salve and spread it thickly over the wound. Then take a bandage, chosen for the size of the wound and wrap it tightly securing it.
The wound must be cleaned and rebandaged over three days or until a firm scab forms over the wound. Stiched wounds must be looked after twice daily to ensure that stiches have not snapped and that infection has not set in, before cleaning and rebandageing the wound. This is the proceedure til the stiches are taken out.
