Nanna- Norse Moon goddess who dies of heartache after Balder's death. Wife of Balder, mother of Forseti
Nannar- (aka Sin) Assyrian moon god
Nechtan- Celtic water deity who possessed the source of knowledge: a sacred well. Husband of Boann
Nehalennia- a Celtic goddess of seafarers. The Romans associated her with Neptune.
Nematona- a Celtic goddess of the sacred grove. The Romans paired her with Mars. She may have been associated with Nemhain.
Nemesis- (aka Rhamnusia) Greek goddess of divine justice and vengeance
Nemhain- a Celtic war goddess
Neptune- Roman god of the sea, see Poseidon for info. He was accepted into Celtic society, linked to Nehalennia and was seen as the same as Nodens
The Nereids- (Greek) the fifty daughters of Nereus and Doris who dwell in the Mediterranean Sea. They help guide lost sailors
Nereus- Greek righteous and all-wise "old man of the sea", god of the Mediterranean Sea, son of Gaia and Pontus. Married to Doris, father of the Nereids.
Nerthus- Norse fertility Goddess. Sister-wife of Njord, mother of Frey & Freya. She was linked to the Celtic Medb
Nessa- Celtic mother of Conchobar, King of Ulster, and lover of Ferghus mac Roich (is he Conchobar's father?)
Nihib- Babylonian god of the summer sun
Nike- Greek personification of victory. She can run and fly at great speed. She is a constant companion of Athena. Nike is the daughter of Pallas and Styx
Nisien and Efnisien- Celtic twin sons of Penarddun by Eurosswydd, half-brothers by Penarddun of the royal Bran, his sister Branwen, and Manawydan.
Njord- Norse god of the wind, sea & ships. Husband of Skadi, father of Frey & Freya
Nodens- a British protector god of healing, hunting. Associated with Neptune, Mars, Silvanus, Nuada
Norns- Norse equivalent of the Greek fates. They are Urd, Verdande & Skuld
Notus- Greek god of the South Wind and the son of Eos and Astraeus. The Romans called him Auster
Nuada- Celtic chieftain-god of healing, the Sun, childbirth, youth, beauty, ocean, dogs, poetry, writing, sorcery, magic, weapons, and warfare. Associated with Neptune, Nodens
Nut- Egyptian sky goddess
Nymphs- Greek spirits of nature. They are represented as young, pretty girls. Each subtype presides over a certain aspect of nature. Depending of their habitat, there are: Dryads (forests), Naiads (springs and rivers), Nereids (the Mediterranean), Oceanids (the sea) and Oreads (mountains), Limoniads (meadows), Limniads (lakes, marshes and swamps) and Napaea (valleys). The male counterpart of a nymph is the satyr.
Nyx- Greek goddess and embodiment of the night.
