Sometimes when I sit here and ponder the greater meaning of this so called "universe." I wonder what we are all really after in life...... Then of course I realize....It doesn't matter as long as it involves funk.
Hey everybody the funky one has arrived!!!! My name is Mikey and I am bringing you this page to help funkify your life. Everyone needs a dose of funk every once in a while if you know what I'm saying. If you ever come to my house, tell you what you'll see, a house full of nothing, just my four strings and me. My bass guitar that is. I love to play my bass more than just about anything else I do. When I am not feeling so manic I always pull out my bass (A Warwick Fortress One) and get bumpin' for a bit. That usually cheers me up and if it doesn't I just talk to one of my friends and they get me feeling funky as a donkey in no time at all. Some of my favorites are Heather, Katie, MacGobblecrank, Diesel, and a few choice others. For all those crazy times out here at UBC or back home with the old crew I have my funky brothers namely: Bruce "slims" Pedersen, Solomon "oscar" Meyer, Aaron "oron" Stuckert, Brandon "Buddy Blue" Stuckert, Yaro "the giant" Orzel, Joel and Kevin "the zamboni men" McNeney, and of course........Elie "the lover" Dolgin.
I like to listen to a lot of styles of music, but none are even as close to as good as FUNK!!! I also like punk, disco, rock, classic rock, 80's garbage, and harder stuff. My favorite band of all right now is Strung Out because they show us what punk should really sound like. The honorable mentions are: Tower of Power, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Lagwagon, Strung Out, Guttermouth, Jamiroquai, BushLeague, Parliament, Pink Floyd, A Taste of Honey, GUSTER, Owsley, Aphex Twin, and sooooo many more, but I am sure you are getting the idea.
