The Construction of our Art Studio

.

Please move mouse pointer over the thumbnails, some of them have large pictures Linked..... I'm still working on that.

Ron standing inside the foundation framed for our 18 by 50 feet Art Studio.

The foundation poured.

Framing done. Looking the length of the room from the bathroom.

Putting the roof struts on.

The roof is on.

Tarpaper on the roof, & the dirt is grated & tamped around the foundation again.

This is the back of our house. (20+ feet between the buildings.)

Looking toward the bathroom & kitchenette from the length of the room.

Looking toward bathroom & kitchenette. The plumbing is in.

Heat pump in kitchenette corner.

Heat pump furnace and cold air return duct work.

Plumbing for kitchenette and bathroom.

Wiring, electrical box and trap door to crawl space under the building.

Insulation all done.

The windows are in.

The roof and doors are on, and the door steps poured.

The ceiling is drywalled. That yellow thing is the Nifty drywall holder that puts it up on the ceiling.

The attic hatch is over the trap door.

The roasted & melting drywaller working fast & furious.

Look at that! Amazing! 18 by 50 with 10 feet out for the bathroom & kitchenette.

One fellow did all that by himself in less than 6 hours!! In temperatures in excess of 100 F. no less!!!

Our Art Studio gets it's primer coat.

THE NIGHT CREW. Photo manipulation by Radar Ron. This photo came out with all these Orbs all over it. Ron thought of adding these little guys....

Our Art Studio painted. Ron just walked in & I caught him! ;-) .... Floor underlayment is also down.

The Utility Corner, with hatches to attic & crawl-space & circuit breaker box. This is best color match, too!

Between the Buildings. The siding is getting put on.

Front painted & West End still in Primer Coat. The Lavender came out much darker than it really is.

The back is painted, with the first coat. This is a much better color match to the real paint color.

Ron standing by the Cabinet Maker's work bench. There is the jetted tub in the background.

The Kitchen Counter is getting put on.

The Blue Marble Laminate is getting put on.

There! Kitchen & Snackbar all done! Stunning, I think. ;-)

Sharri in Kitchen.

This is the place that the jetted tub goes. I tried to adjust the color for a more realistic paint tone.

The door for tub motor & heater is added. Also fiber board for laminate. I don't know why the color comes out Rose instead of Lavender in the bathroom?

Sharri standing at the front door. The second coat of painting is finished & purple trim is on!

The front door is painted light lavender with purple trim.

The back of the Art Studio has it's second coat of paint. It got darker lavender.

Sharri walking around the end of the Art Studio. Caught trying to sneak up on Ron.

The wind has been blowing a lot. This red dirt dust is covering everything, even inside!

The Heat Pump.

At last! The tile is down. The color is called "Wisteria."

"TA-DA!" FINALLY! The Consoles have arrived!!

Ron just can't wait to try out the jetted tub. You've heard of "air-guitar?" Well, he's taking an "air-bath." ~teehee~

Got the kitchen cleaned up a bit.... You can see the blue marble counter tops better.

The corner sink in the bathroom & the lights.

Our computer consoles are installed. Ron's sitting there saying: "YES! This is what I built this place for!"

Sharri modeling her computer console.

We've moved in. Sharri at her computer console.

Ron at his computer console.

Ron recycling our mountain of cardboard.

The mountain of cardboard compacted.

Black Widow Spider, squatter, found in the pantry in the house.

Our Lucky Cricket resident in the kitchenette in our Art Studio.

The Golden Glow of Fall Leaves fills the Studio.
