This was a show about a group of six friends. There was a paleontologist named Ross Gellar (David Schwimmer); his sister Monica (Courteney Cox), who was a chef; a waitress named Rachel Green (Jennifer Aniston); a dumb actor named Joey Tribbiani (Matt LeBlanc); a kooky sort of hippie chick named Phoebe Buffay (Lisa Kudrow also played Ursula on Mad About You, and we eventually learned that she and Phoebe were twin sisters); and a sarcastic accountant (or something) named Chandler Bing (Matthew Perry). They all hung out a lot at a coffee shop called Central Perk. The show had a very peppy theme song, "I'll Be There For You" by the Rembrandts. The show was wildly popular and lasted 10 seasons. And there were any number of changes over the years in terms of romantic pairings and so forth. There was a great deal of stuff about Ross and Rachel (he had liked her for a long time, like since high school or something, but she didn't realize it; they did eventually have an on again/off again relationship, though). I don't really know what to tell you, it was just a really funny, bubbly show, but not real big on plot. But the characters were likable and stuff. *shrug* So, whatever. (Oh, and the episode titles all start with "The One With" or "The One Where." And I vaguely recall that at some point, I subscribed to a discussion listserv about the show. I don't remember exactly what it was called, but I do remember its name was based on the way episodes were titled.)

After "Friends" ended, there was a spin-off called Joey, though that wasn't nearly as good and didn't last nearly as long.
