Lift is an organization that was created at a predominantly white high school(breeding ground for discrinination....) in North Texas (texas and racial discrimination? what a suprise!). Its letters stand for "Leading Individuals figthing for tolerance!"
Above here is a symbol that i made to represent it.
Lets face it, high school can be a really sucky time for some people.
People are discriminated against for the reace, gender, sexuality, age,
height, weight, culture, religion, etc.
So a group of students at this high school decided
to make a place where people could come together and be free off
all the hate and dsicrimination! And they called it, lift.
A lot of popular (leading) people are in it, but a lot
of unpopular ones are too. but thats not even important,
because every tuesday 8:30-9, were all the same.
We're trying to lead the school in the right direction and make it a better place where everybody can belong!
Its already catching on, and it all started with just a simple idea!
If you would like to start something like this in your school, please do it. Its on 30 minutes once a week
and a little planning to stop hate and discrimination, I dont think thats a very large
price to pay! (obv or i wouldnt be in lift!)
