This series is written in alternating third-person and first-person formats. The "diary" writings is as written by Buffy and thus comprises the first-person portion of each story. There is also a smidgen of third-person description about the mechanics of writing the journal entries. For now. I can't quite decide if I like that format or if I should just skip to straight first-person.

I got the idea for this series while I was unsuccessfully trying to sleep. I have no idea why, but most of my Buffy story ideas seem to come to me when I'm just not sleepy enough to sleep. I decided I would write a diary entry for every episode of Season 5. Maybe some in-betweener Interludes if the opportunity seemed appropriate. Who knows, maybe I'll extend it to include Season 6, when it airs. Man, I can't wait for the season premiere. Whoever it was that came up with the season-finale cliffhanger (which I have always credited to Star Trek: The Next Generation's 'Picard-got-turned-into-Locutus' finale, but maybe it's just that that was the first time a season finale scarred me for LIFE; to be followed by Mulder "dying" and, well, every X-Files season finale, actually, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera) ought to be spanked most thoroughly. It's not nice to torture your viewers! But I digress.

Actually, that's about all I have to say right now. I may add more to the Notes as the series progresses.
