Wolf

The wolf is the mark of the teacher; of loyalty for it only has one pack for life; of the seeker of new information, for it always roams and wanders in search of new food, dens, etc., and then brings the info back to the pack and shares it with them (the teacher). It is a predator, which means that it truly sees what it looks at (predator eyes), and a meat eater (great anger and fighting spirit if challenged). Very important for wolf energy is the need to be alone for time alone is when the wolf does its own learning and searching. Wolf people must have time alone to "re-charge" their spirit or they get drained dry.

WOLF - Earth wisdom, protection. From the Wolf, one of our most misunderstood animal brothers, people can learn many lessons about love, healing relationships, fidelity, forgiveness, intimacy, community, generosity and compatibility.

Tiger brings an increase in strength and endurance and the desire to pursue new ideas and subjects. Be prepared for new adventures. You may find yourself at your creative best during the night hours. OTTER

The otter is a feminine totem. It's fur and pelts have been used from time immemorial by medicine people the world over to hold their medicine tools.

Otter is the symbol of grace and empathy. Otter medicine takes great pleasure in the success and happiness of others, and will work untiringly to help others achieve that. There is no selfishness in otter. They could never be mean, or self-centered, or self-driven. You will not find an otter who gossips, or who "flames" others, or who is unnecessarily critical in a vengeful way for the purpose of otter is to support and enhance OTHERS, not themselves.

Otter is also a signal that you need to take more time for yourself to just play and be silly. Lighten up! You must feed otter's playful side so that she can continue to help balance your great concern for the welfare of others. We lose sight, sometimes, of our own spirit's need to be lighthearted and to laugh and be childlike. That is a very important element in walking in balance.

SKUNK

Skunk: reputation, presence, strength

Skunk's Message and Medicine

Reputation , Respect , Sensitivity , Confidence

The skunk is a powerful small mammal about the size of a house cat. It is easily recognized by its long black fur and double white stripes, which go from its head, to the back of its legs and bushy tail. Skunk is a peaceful warrior, fearless and friendly. It appears nonchalant as it moves slowly but deliberately towards its goal. However, do not interfere with skunk’s medicine. Skunk has a distinctive behavior trait, which sets it apart from other animals. When skunk feels threatened it will turn its back on you, raise its tail and emit a smelly , irritating, chemical spray , which numbs the senses and stings the eyes. You will never forget an encounter with skunk. Skunk’s message teaches you how to get respect without being overly aggressive or domineering. Skunk encourages you to raise a " stink" if you are threatened, or being pushed around by a bully. Do not be afraid to speak up in order to defend your space. If you are involved in domestic violence you need to inform the proper authorities. Don’t worry about causing a " Big Stink" when you expose these tyrants. Respect yourself and others will respect you. Be aware of your reputation. What is your self-image and how do people respond to you ? If you " smell" something bad, make sure that it is not you, dumping negativity on others , or being dumped on. Take a class in aromatherapy.

Your sense of smell is a great gift from the Creator. Honor and be thankful for all of your senses.
