Aquarist: Wah Lieu
Tank: 100 Gal, all glass. It has been set up since Oct 1998.
Filtration: Consists of 100 lbs live rock, 100 lbs crushed coral, with a Red Sea Berlin Skimmer
Circulation: 4 power head control by Red Sea Wavemaker and water return by little giant 4MDQSC
Lighting: 3-175W Aqualine 10,000K metal halides, 2-110W VHO (1 Actinic, 1 superdaylight), 2-48" power glow and coralife actinic. They are all on separate timers to simulate the morning, noon peak and evening.
Water Values: Temp 75-78F, SG 1.030, pH 8.3, KH 10-12 dKH, cal 450-475, Nitrates and phosphates near zero.
Maintenance: Water is exchanged 10% every 2 weeks.
Goals: My goals in setting up the tank were for it to be easy to maintain and fun to watch.
