Feb. 4 – 11, 1945:
The Yalta Conference was were the creation of United Nations first came out. British Prime Minister Winston Churchill, U.S. President Franklin Delano Roosevelt, and Soviet Premier Joseph Stalin had met to determine some important military issues. One, being what to do with Germany after its unconditional surrender. The Yalta Conference was also the root of the Cold War, when disagreements over issues came up.
