Treaty of Versailles
June 28, 1919:
The Treaty of Verailles was signed after the end of WWI. It was signed by 30 or so countries, including, Britain, Canada, France and Germany, but not U.S.A. The Treaty of Versailles forced Germany to accept all the blame for WWI. At the same time it created the League of Nations. The League of Nationsˇ¦ role was to guarantee the peace and punish aggressive nations to ensure that WWI was truly the ˇ§war to end all wars.ˇ¨
