Munich Agreement: September 29, 1938
Sept. 29, 1938:
On Sept. 29, 1938, leaders of Italy, France, England and Germany met in Munich. A deal was made, Hitler can have Sudetenland (1/3 of Czechoslovkia), but in return, he must promise to stop his demands for more territories. Hitler agreed and the Munich Agreement was signed. Chamberlain, PM of Britain believed that peace had been achieved. Little did he know that Hitler had no intention of stopping his conquest.
