May 15th wasn’t a great day.  Gene was having a lot of pain and trouble breathing so we spent the day in the ER.  Finally about 9:00 pm something good happened to redeem the day (which just happened to be Gene’s birthday).  Katie presented us with an unbelievably adorable filly.  Obviously she needed a birthday name, so I was thinking of “Cupcake”.  The next morning when Kalle saw her, without any prompting, told me she looked like a cupcake with sprinkles.  That clinched it.

 

Cupcake is a tri-colored leopard with black lege to her chest in front and to her hocks in back.  She has a black face with a big white star, black mane and tail, and the rest of her body is white with lots of little black and brown sprinkles.

The picture at left is Cupcake’s just born picture.  She is 1 day and 3 days old in the other pictures.  Cupcake’s mom is Pretty Pleasin Blackburn and dad is One Awesome Dually.  Cupcake was people friendly right out of the gate and has a playful nature.  She is a riot running and jumping around her mom.
