Abortion-The Right to Choose!

“Vote pro-choice!” There were signs and bumper stickers everywhere. I grab a bumper sticker and bring it home. It still sticks to my door like the world depends on it, or at least America. There are two reasons why women should be allowed to choose abortion or no abortion for themselves. Reason number one is, think of the children. Reason two is think of the women. Let people choose for themselves. That is, if this country still stands for freedom of speech and privacy. Think of the children. Imagine this hypothetical situation. A young woman somehow gets pregnant and she either does not want the child or cannot take care of the child. The law states that the woman cannot have an abortion and so she is forced to raise the child with little or no help. The child grows up either spoiled or neglected. The neglected child could then get into trouble, say drugs or crime. Or the mother gives the child up for adoption and possibly the same situations erupt. Either way the child has the chance of a bad life. So I beg you, think of the children. Think of the women. Imagine this situation. A woman has become pregnant either by unprotected sex or rape. She does not want or can not take care of the baby. She cannot have an abortion and so she was forced to raise the child. She doesn’t know what to do about the child. It is her body. The government should not be allowed to make laws on other people’s bodies. Think of the women. In conclusion I believe that women have the right to choose. The government can’t be allowed to make personal decisions. Shouldn’t the government be concerning themselves with more important issues? Say, Iraq, for example? Think of the people and imagine yourself in this situation. Let America be known once more for the freedoms of its people.
