HERE ARE PHOTOS FROM OUR AUGUST 28TH HARTFORD RIDE
AND THE SECOND ANNUAL SWAP MEET 2004

It was a hot and sticky night in Hartford. The American Idol Finalists were in town doing their thing.
We were in town doing our thing... Riding Musclebikes, having skidding contests, drinking, eating and having fun.
Conditions were perfect for a memorable ride.

As all of our rides begin we met at the Caroussel in Bushnell Park. We had 22 bikes and riders.
All the great Musclebikes were represented.

Note: Steve's really cool bike. Love the peace sign!

Obeying all traffic laws our group headed out of the American Idol traffic for our first stop
A local bar out on Constitutions Plaza. Food and drink was consumed in preparation for our
annual skidding contest.
Here we all are in front of the bar.
Upstanding looking group aren't we?

After a bit of refreshments we were ready for our famous skidding contest.

With Jim's foot out of commission the competition was up for grabs.
Julia Surkis set the longest skid of 25 feet early on.

Over and over again riders tried to break her first attempt but in the end
the riders found it impossible.
The record held. Julia Surkis - Longest skid of 25 feet. Here is Julia making her longest skid.

Here are the others who trying to beat the record.

Here are the on-lookers.

Everyone had big appetites after this grueling event.
We all mounted up and went to eat at our favorite joint, Black Eyed Sallys.
Competition was fierce for the front parking spots as we lined up on the sidewalk with the Harleys.

After dinner we rode around the city and finished our ride at the Federal Cafe.
Here's the group in front.

And the next day......
Was our Second Annual Swap Meet

Another sultry hot day met us.
Vendors lined the street early on waiting for a sleepy Wanda to give them the
OK to park.

The swap meet was tons of fun and a success for everyone.

Doug and I on Jim's Chopper Tandem.
Great bike Jim!

We had the fortune of having not one but two bands play at the swap meet.
First 9th Wave, then The Clams

I would like to thank everyone who joined us on our ride and at our swap meet.
You helped us make it all happen!

See you all next year!
