MEET LITTLE IAN

3/8/02: I had the honor of meeting Ian thru his parents; Don and Marie. They called me with concern about their little boy, fearing he may have WHS, so I set out to go meet them and offer any help that I could. After seeing Ian and being told how his illness had progressed, I told them that he was displaying all signs of WHS and explained what needed to be done to care for him. Both Don and Marie work all day, making it very difficult to give Ian the constant care a little one like him needs, so I offered to take him home with me. With tears in her eyes, Marie agreed and so off we went.
The following are some pictures taken of Ian with his parents, and a few I have taken since bringing him to my home last night.

Current Weight: 202 grams.

Another picture of Ian snuggling up to my crystal.

Ian's first night here was spent in a wicker basket bed that had a nice soft pillow to lay on, covered with a warm fleece blanket, his hedgie bag, and surrounded by healing stones. I used a heat disc underneath thick blankets to keep him warm. He was given Rescue Remedy and Star Of Bethlehem. I have to confess that I checked on him numerous times throughout the night, as Ian's breathing is somewhat labored.

Ian's first breakfast here. He ate and drank very well. I made him a mash of ground up dry food, baby turkey food, and insects, to which I added a drop of omega oils, probiotic enzymes and Life Force drops. As I write this he is sitting here with me watching this work in progress......I think he feels he is a very handsome young man. I agree, don't you? :)
