MY VACATION TO FLORIDA AND...GRACELAND!

McGuires Irish Pub...the coolest place on earth! Everyone who eats there, traditionally, has to write their name on a $ bill and staple it somewhere in the restaurant. It started out on the ceiling but now it's moved to the walls (they ran out of ceiling room) and anywhere you can find a spot! There's over a million dollars worth of $1 bills in there! We put ours up in the golf room (where all the famous golfers come to eat and have signed their $ bills!) in honor of my Dad!"

We developed a little obsession in Florida..taking pics of Mo in HUGE glasses! Finally he believes me that I just can't pull of the Paris Hilton "huge glasses" craze! Prepare to laugh...the 2nd pair are classic!

THE BIG DAY!!! I will forewarn you that I didn't include all 250 pictures taken at Graceland...because I took pictures in every inch of his house! I do want to thank Mike, extensively, for taking over my camera and capturing things that I was too mesmerized to get. He let me enjoy Graceland and he snapped the pics! Thank you Mike!

The saddest part of the day.."The Meditation Garden" where Elvis and his family are buried...I had a hard time here...

Today is the anniversary of his death as I make this page..how ironic!!! 29 years..they expect millions to flock to Graceland next year for this day!

A plot for Elvis's twin brother...

So sad!! The saddest line (but so true..and even more so if you are a religious person..) on his headstone had to be, "God saw that he needed some rest and called him home..."

The best Elvis impersonator I've ever heard...and he knew Elvis well. He was his gopher..started out mowing his lawn at the age of 14 and then he went on the road with him and studied his every move..he was incredible and... and...and....

I'm not sure that Mike was that upset to leave...I think he was tired of my excitement! ha ha!

Note the stadium in the picture is the same one that Oprah brodcasted on her show during the Hurricane relief...gave me the heebee-geebeez knowing what went on in there..so sad...

I found it ironic, as we drove through the devastation that still abounds the air of New Orleans, this rainbow creeped out over the sky. It's still in terrible shape...

Saying goodbye to Florida!

Boston from the airplane..after a 3 hour delay in Boston I was happy to say goodbye to it and head back home!!
