Send requests to <a href="mailto:equestrienne2000@hotmail.com">equestrienne2000@hotmail.com</a> with "Breeding Request" as the subject line. <li>I have both model and BSO horses, although I do plan to get/make bodies for all of them eventually. I accept both model and BSO foals, except where otherwise noted for a few certain horses. <li>A foal s birth year <u>must</u> fall within the sire s foal crop years and the dam s open years. Foal crops for stallions and open years for mares are listed. <li>All of my horses are aging. I accept both aging and non-aging foals, but non-aging foals must still be assigned a birth year for record-keeping purposes. Aging foals will be given preference in cases of multiple requests for the same year. Feel free to send a second, or even three year choices, listed in order of preference, in case your first year has already been taken. <li>You <u>must</u> follow color genetics. If you are unsure of something, please ask. And if I don t know the answer either, I will find out for you. Horses that are homozygous for a certain gene are noted. These horses have two copies of the gene, meaning they will <u>always</u> pass it on to their offspring. All chestnut horses are homozygous for that color. Two chestnut horses can <u>only</u> produce a chestnut foal (similarly, all horses with one chestnut parent will carry chestnut, and therefor be able to pass it on to their foals, even if they themselves are not chestnut). A grey horse <u>must</u> have at least one grey parent, and a tobiano horse must have at least one tobiano parent, no matter how minimal. For more information on equine color genetics, I recommend visiting the <a href="http://www.equinecolor.com/"><b>Equine Color</b></a> site or Kirsten Wellman's <a href="http://home.uchicago.edu/~kwellman/tbcolor.html"><b>Thoroughbred Color</b></a> page. <li>No twins, either by natural birth or embryo transfer. <li>No close inbreeding. I will refuse requests for parent/offspring, brother/sister, or half-brother/half-sister breedings. I <u>may</u> make exceptions if you have a good reason. Line-breeding is ok. <li>Reasonable crossbreeds only. I am likely to approve most crosses, but please, no Shetland/Shire breedings. If you are requesting an unusual cross, it may be helpful to include an explanation of your reasons. <li>I also ask that you follow naming rules for most of the breeds, although I realize a few of my own horses names do not. To make things easier, I have included the naming rules for each breed with that breed s section. I also have a few breeds (i.e. Icelandics) with separate stable prefixes or suffixes that I would like foals of those breeds from my horses to bear. <li>To request a breeding, please send the following information: Name, requested sire, requested dam, year of birth, breed, gender, color, pattern (if pinto/paint or appaloosa), make/model/finish, your name, your stable name, and your e-mail address. Photos of the foal are always welcome, but not required (unless otherwise noted). <li>If one parent does not belong to Hillcrest, I need the following information on that parent: Name, year of birth, breed, gender, color, pattern (if pinto/paint or appaloosa), and a 3-4 generation pedigree (exceptions made for wild-bred horses, in which case it is fine to send fewer generations). Outside parents can be real, model, or BSO. Please specify. <li>I can send certificates as either Microsoft Word attachments, or typed into the body of an e-mail. If you cannot receive attachments, please let me know. I will be using the MS Word format if no preference is specified in your request. <li>I would love to have updates (showing, racing, breeding, etc.) on any foals bred from my horses, though I don't require it. It's nice to be able to put in a little brag if a Hillcrest foal turns out to be a champ. ^_^ <li>If you have an S/D list, or are working on one, I would love a copy when it's completed, or a link to your website if you have one. I'm always looking for more parents! <li>My Sire/Dam List is also available via Microsoft Word attachment. E-mail me to request it if you are interested. <p><center><b>THE BREEDS</b>: <p>Open years updated: 23 May 2003</center> </font></td></tr></table></center> <br><center><table border=1 width=80%> <tr> <td><center><font size=2><a href="asbsd.html">American Saddlebreds</a>*</font></center></td> <td><center><font size=2><a href="andylusisd.html">Andalusians & Lusitanos</a> <font size=1>1</font></font></center></td> <td><center><font size=2><a href="appsd.html">Appaloosas</a></font></center></td> <td><center><font size=2><a href="apspsd.html">Appaloosa Sporthorses</a></font></center></td> </tr> <tr> <td><center><font size=2><a href="arabsd.html">Arabians</a> <font size=1>2</font>*</font></center></td> <td><center><font size=2><a href="parabsd.html">Part-Arabians</a> <font size=1>3</font></font></center></td> <td><center><font size=2><a href="aussd.html">Australian Stock Horses</a></font></center></td> <td><center><font size=2><a href="chinsd.html">Chincoteague Ponies</a></font></center></td> </tr> <tr> <td><center><font size=2><a href="cbsd.html">Cleveland Bays</a></font></center></td> <td><center><font size=2><a href="clydesd.html">Clydesdales</a></font></center></td> <td><center><font size=2><a href="dwbsd.html">Dutch Warmbloods</a></font></center></td> <td><center><font size=2><a href="finsd.html">Finnhorses</a></font></center></td> </tr> <tr> <td><center><font size=2><a href="hacksd.html">Hackneys</a></font></center></td> <td><center><font size=2><a href="hansd.html">Hanoverians</a></font></center></td> <td><center><font size=2><a href="icesd.html">Icelandic Horses</a></font></center></td> <td><center><font size=2><a href="lipsd.html">Lipizzans</a></font></center></td> </tr> <tr> <td><center><font size=2><a href="lesd.html">Longears & Exotics</a> <font size=1>4</font></font></center></td> <td><center><font size=2><a href="minisd.html">Miniature Horses</a></font></center></td> <td><center><font size=2><a href="mftsd.html">Missouri Fox Trotters</a></font></center></td> <td><center><font size=2><a href="morgsd.html">Morgans</a>*</font></center></td> </tr> <tr> <td><center><font size=2><a href="mfbsd.html">Mustangs & Feral Breeds</a> <font size=1>5</font></font></center></td> <td><center><font size=2><a href="nwfsd.html">Norwegian Fjords</a></font></center></td> <td><center><font size=2><a href="oldsd.html">Oldenburgs</a></font></center></td> <td><center><font size=2><a href="paintsd.html">Paints</a>*</font></center></td> </tr> <tr> <td><center><font size=2><a href="pasosd.html">Paso Finos</a></font></center></td> <td><center><font size=2><a href="perchsd.html">Percherons</a></font></center></td> <td><center><font size=2><a href="ppsd.html">Peruvian Pasos</a></font></center></td> <td><center><font size=2><a href="pshsd.html">Pinto Sporthorses</a></font></center></td> </tr> <tr> <td><center><font size=2><a href="qhsd.html">Quarter Horses</a>*</font></center></td> <td><center><font size=2><a href="rmhsd.html">Rocky Mountain Horses</a></font></center></td> <td><center><font size=2><a href="spsd.html">Shetland Ponies</a></font></center></td> <td><center><font size=2><a href="stbsd.html">Standardbreds</a> <font size=1>6</font></font></center></td> </tr> <tr> <td><center><font size=2><a href="swbsd.html">Swedish Warmbloods</a></font></center></td> <td><center><font size=2><a href="tbsd.html">Thoroughbreds</a>*</font></center></td> <td><center><font size=2><a href="traksd.html">Trakehners</a></font></center></td> <td><center><font size=2><a href="westsd.html">Westphalians</a></font></center></td> </tr> <tr> <td><center><font size=2><a href="othersd.html">Other / Mixed / Grade</a> <font size=1>7</font>*</font></center></td> <td><center><font size=2></font></center></td> <td><center><font size=2></font></center></td> <td><center><font size=2></font></center></td> </tr> </table></center> <br><center>*new horse/s added: 23 Dec. 2002 <p><font size=1>1</font> - Pura Raza Espanola (Andalusian), Puro Sangue Lusitano (Lusitano), and Spanish/Portuguese mixed-blood. <br><font size=1>2</font> - Egyptian, Polish, Russian, American, and Mixed-Type. <br><font size=1>3</font> - Anglo-Arabians, Ara-Appaloosas, Morabs, National Show Horses, and Pinto Part-Arabians. <br><font size=1>4</font> - Donkeys. <br><font size=1>5</font> - Kiger and Spanish Mustangs. <br><font size=1>6</font> - Pacers and Trotters. <br><font size=1>7</font> - Mixed / Grade. </center> <p><br><center><b>COMING SOON</b>: <p><li> Narcissa - palomino Part-Arabian mare <br><li> Roseberry Bey - bay tobiano Pinto Part-Arabian stallion <br><li> Down In Dixie - chestnut frame overo Paint stallion <p><br><center><b>ORPHANS</b>: <p><i>I am looking for parents for these horses.
