The Characters

Michelle is a nice, respectable girl. She is 23 years old, and works at an art studio. She has a passion for all her work, from plain pencil sketches on napkins, to masterful paintings. She is struggling to keep funding open for her gallery. She lives with her two bestfriends, but feels as though they have nothing to do with her. She's basically feeling abandoned, not very good about herself, and her art starts to show that aspect. Despite the fact that she is going through rough times, which seem to only be getting worse, she has a genuine love for life. She appreciates anything and everything having to do with nature. A lot of nights you can find this young woman not at home, not out at a club or bar, but near Dungeon S, sitting on the rocks by the cold salt water, creating endless works of art.

Rachel is 21 years old, extremely care free and full of life. She's the second character we come across, doing what she loves most, singing Micheal Jackson songs. Rachel doesn't actually have a job persay. She spends her time reading the classifieds, looking for something to do, some place to work, or at home, sitting on the couch, watching reruns of "Dark Angel". Rachel is a writer. She creates stories and adventures for herself in her mind, often times having the ability to slip off into her own world. She comes from a very rich family, having a total of five siblings. She used to her country club life style, but doesn't mind "slummin'". She's also a talented singer/musician/song writer, playing with a house band at a local club. She's just trying to find herself.

Matt is the third friend in this mix. He is just moving in with the girls, and is extremely apprehensive about his "social agenda". He's a young guy, 23 years old to be exact, and works down at Pike Place Market, stocking fish from incoming ships. He spends his days gutting and cleaning the slippery salmon, and his nights out partying with any and everyone. Oddly enough, he knows Michelle the best, the two groing up right next door to one another. Once Middle School hit, they grew apart, not knowing exactly where the other fit into their relationships. But eventually they made up and found time to be pals. The two never dated, and never intend to. But most of all, Matt is a carer. Underneath his manly "tough guy" exterior, he really does care for the women in his home. When he was younger, he lived with his mom, who was a teacher, brother, dad, and six other female teachers. From that he learned how to respect women. His favorite times have been singing his nephew to sleep. Some day, Matt wants to be a father.

Apolo is actually Apolo Anton Ohno, the Olympian originating in Seattle, Washington. He's home for a little while, taking a break, but soon has to move back to Colorado Springs, Colorado. He knows all of Seattle... Washington... The Country, is proud of him, yet in his life there seems to be something missing. Apolo is 20 years old, and like Rachel, finding himself. He needs to know what he stands for, what he wants and what he needs. Every day, he feels like things are just getting a little harder than they were before, eventhough it's just an allusion. Maybe it's a slump, maybe it's something different, but he knows that he needs to get out of it.
