Sakura Taisen Inventory

Welcome Hanagumi fans. We welcome you to look at the modest collection Jill-san has collected. This page isn't much, but we have plans. With Oogami-san giving an extra hand, no doubt we'll succeed. Games

Through a twist of fate, I've been able to play the first two games: "Sakura Taisen" & "Sakura Taisen 2 - You Must Not Die". All it took was an ancient Sega Saturn & a good friend (arigatou Kurisu-chan~!). A wonderful experience playing these games - I reccomend it if you have any access whatsoever! You'll appreciate the anime/tv/ovas more if you do. Although there is ALOT of reading. I had a good inkling with understanding what they were saying only I'm terrible with kanji. Now the games are released on dreamcast (too bad I'm broke).

AH! I did manage to get the Complete box. it has all four games for Dreamcast (10 discs in this big binder and a sleeve for all the manuals), and you can continue your save. I really really want to play ST3 and ST4, but... I have to mod my system because these new games do not respond to my bootdisk nor do I have enough room on my VMC to store another game. GAH! well, I'll let you all know how it goes.

I have been able to play Hanagumi Taisen Columns 2 on DC. very happy! It's a great puzzle/stratgy game! you can buy a copy at the national console support online store.

Anime

I've seen the first and second OVAs, so if you have any questions about how they, go ahead and email me. The first OVA is 4 episodes long and tells the story of how Sakura learns her Haja Kensei and how the girls ended up at the Hanagumi. Not very exciting in my opinion, there is a couple of koubu battles and a small cameo of Kayama on the navy ship! The second OVA doesn't have any koubu battles, but tells more of the adventures the Hanagumi has in their civilian lives in 6 episodes. Overall, I liked the 2nd OVA (Wish there was more episodes and more Ayame though, sigh~!)

I have not seen the TV show, unfortunately. So I cannot give any info on that. But I have heard it was very good. For information, visit their official website:

There is a movie scheduled to come out this year. I'm looking forward to hearing more about it. I have a couple of articles from Animedia and Newtype, which I will scan soon. I also found a pullout poster from Newtype of Sakura and Rachette (the new Taichou). Sakura has a new hair style:

I also have a Sakura model, a Kanna musical mug (magically plays 'Gekitei'), and my incomplete sets of the trading cards from the 1st & 2nd games. recently my sister went to the sakura-con convention. she got Sakura, Oogami, and Orihime keychains with their uniforms from ST2. She also got a large-sized paper poster from ST1 with Sakura and her sword. ALSO a Kayama/Oogami Shitajiki!! I shall scan them soon, k?
