This is a page dedicated my many friends, the lovely cast of Sakura Taisen. Forgive me if miss something or mess up - please let me know if you catch something. Stats come from the Sakura Taisen Art & Data book. I got the Seiyuu information from Hitoshi Doi's Seiyuu Database. Well, here it is!
Oogami Ichirou
Birth: Jan 3, 1903
Blood Type: A
Height: 176 cm
Weight: 65 kg

Seiyuu: Suyama Akio
Oogami is the Taicho of the Hanagumi. He comes from the navy and was top of his class graduating from military school. He is a devoted leader and also a kind-hearted man, though he could be also weak-willed when it comes to women. Oogami also works as a ticketboy at the Theater, part of the cover for the secret butai.
These three guys are members of an elite group that are in charge of protecting the Majinki. Of course, when there is no Majinki to look after, the 'Butai of Love and Justice' pose as a fanclub for Oogami.
Chateaubriand, Iris
Birth Date: July 5, 1913
Blood Type: AB
3 sizes: ?/?/?

Seiyuu: Nishihara Kumiko
Iris is the youngest member of the Hanagumi. At first, she didn't have a koubu because none could handle the great power that she possesses. Airisu doesn't like to be called a child, but sometimes acts like one. She has a bear named Jean-Paul and really loves her Onii-chan (Oogami).
Ayame is the Vice Commander of the Hanagumi and was in charge of recruiting most of the original members. She often gives Oogami advice and uses a lot of old sayings. Oogami has a big crush on her. Ayame was also an original member of the Anti-Kouma Butai. It's rumored that she was in love with another member, Yamazaki. Although Ayame had travelled all around the world, she really loves her hometown, Tokyo, and will do anything to protect it.
Kaede is the younger sister of Ayame. She takes over the role as Vice Commander in hopes of keeping her sister's dream to protect Tokyo alive. Kaede, unlike her sister, has grown accustomed to the modern times. She's different from her more traditional sister, through their clothing, music and room decor taste. Yet, Oogami can't help but remember Ayame when he's around her. Kaede is a favorite of mine, because of her independent nature and style.
Sumire comes from a zaibatsu family, who run a lot of the industry in Japan. Her grandfather is a very powerful man and helped with the construction of the koubu prototype. Sumire may act snobbish or arrogant because of her status, but she is also very kind at times. One of the funniest characters of the game, you can't ignore Sumire! OH HO HO HO!
Kanna comes from a long line of karate masters from Okinawa. She is a tough girl, but also very sensitive. She's very reliable and very hungry. She can eat up to 11 servings! While fighting constantly with Sumire, Kanna is also very funny - those two make a great team. Kanna likes to have a good time, but when it's time to fight she's there.
Kayama was a classmate of Oogami's from Military Academy. However, when Oogami started as Taichou to the Hanagumi, Kayama became the Taichou to the Tsukigumi, the secret army that supports the Hanagumi. Kayama is my favorite character of the game. He has a split personality, happy-go-lucky and battle mode. I think it's throw off other people, like Oogami who think he's a total idiot. But I enjoy his antics and singing as much as I love it when he's the Tsukigumi Taichou. He gives lots of advice to Oogami, using old sayings like Ayame. He also secretly met with Kaede throughout the game, spying and doing odd jobs for her. They make a great team! (han-yaaa!! \(^o^)/)
Reni transfers to the Hanagumi from the European troop, Hoshigumi. Reni acts very serious and cold at first, but that was only because she had never had people who really cared about her. No longer alone, Reni fights to protect the people she cares about.
Kohran lost her family in China and was brought to Japan by Ayame. Finding a new family in the Hanagumi, Kohran is cheerful despite her sad past. She lived in Osaka for a long time and had picked up a Kansai accent. Her inventions sometimes don't work and explode, but she is an expert on Koubu and Hanafuda.
Sakura comes from a long line of swordsman, using the Haja Kensei techique. Fighting with the memory of her father who died bravely protecting the capital, Sakura tries very hard to do her best. Clumsy and childish at times, Sakura's kindness and dedication makes her one of my favorite characters.
Orihime transfered from the Hoshigumi, although at first didn't like being part of the Hanagumi. Because of her Japanese father's absense, she has grown a dislike for Japanese men, causing difficulties between her and Oogami. However, Orihime is a very cheerful and nice girl once you get to know her. And you must love her accent.
Maria had lost her Taicho in the Japanese-Russo war and worries about the same happening in the present. A loyal assistant in battle and strategy, Maria is responsible, mature, and intelligent. She is also moody and serious, making her very cool.

Tsubomi fills in for Tsubaki when she has a special mission to attend to. She and her sister were from the Otome Gakuen, a school that trains girls to sing & fight evil.
Yoneda is the Manager of the theater, and also the Commander of Oogami. He often is seen getting drunk in his office or teasing Oogami. He thinks of the girls as all his daughters and feels very protective of them. A decorated officer from the Japanese-Russo War, Yoneda is also one of the four original members of the Anti-Kouma Butai that fought in the First Demon war. He has a very sad past, but continues to fight for a happier future.
