Introduction:
Hello, and welcome to my professional website. This site
is dedicated to American Literature. You will find
interesting links to numerous sites concerning American
Literature, as well as, links to the Garner Senior High School
and links to class assignments and discussion forums.
Now, a little about myself. I am a honor graduate of East Carolina University. I was a North Carolina Teaching Fellow and Wingate Scholar. This is my fifth year teaching at Garner Senior High School. Along with my teaching responsibilities I am the class sponsor for the Class of 2004, I coach football and men's tennis, I am the Interact club sponsor and Brain Game coach. Professional
Philosophy: My goal as a teacher is to develop a learning
environment where students feel safe and have the opportunity to
grow and learn in all aspects of life. Students should be
allowed to express themselves in their own personal way,
developing skills that they can use far into the future.
My expectations for students are very simple. Students should come to class with a positive attitude and should be ready to TRY. Making an effort is half the battle. Students who put forth an effort will always be successful in my class and in life.
