Logan is an underground cyberjournalist, fighting against corruption in post-pulse Seattle. He met Max when she broke into his apartment, looking for valuables to fund her search for her fellow fugitives. Logan mistook her for an assasian, until after an interesting stand-off where they complemented eachother's taste in art. Then she took a dive out of the window of his penthouse apartment.

Logan tracked her down and made a deal with her, in exchange for her help with his Eyes Only missions (he had been recently paralyzed by the assasian he thought Max was initially), he would help her find information about her past.

Over the next year their quid pro quo relationship developed into something a little closer, until Max was recaptured by Manticore. Using his Eyes Only persona Logan attacked Manticore until they sent out an assasian to kill him. The assasian was Max, who unknowingly had been infected with a retrovirus genetically targeted to Logan's DNA. In order to save his life Max, took on Manticore one last time, this time she used one of Logan's cable hacks to expose it to the world. When the committee ordered the evidence, burned she used the confusion to set free all of it's creations and get the antidote for Logan.

Unfortunaly there was only enough antidote to keep him from dying, Max was still infected with the retro-virus, and subsequent attempts at a cure have only lead to failure.

Personally, I'm more interested in going fast on my motorcycle than giving myself a headache over stuff I can't do anything about.
