1. To achieve greater sovereignty for Oregon and Washington from the U.S. federal government in a peaceful and democratic manner. To build our society in a just and sustainable manner in all issues and facets of life in our respective states and to ultimately achieve full and peaceful independence from the United States through the consent of the people of Oregon and Washington to create the Republic of Cascadia.

2. Upon independence, the withdrawal of all U.S. federal forces, agencies,and institutions on Cascadian soil to be replaced by bodies instituted by the Cascadian government and Cascadian people.

3. To have an equal place among the World community. To promote our ideas and our culture in a positive, civil manner.

4. To establish an accountable and democratic partnership government between the states of Oregon and Washington. To also establish greater direct democracy among the peoples of Oregon and Washington. To give the counties and communities a greater say in their own affairs as well as those of state and federal. A government that is BY, OF, and FOR the people and not by corporate interests and a wealthy few. A responsible government that's objectives are to equally represent the peoples of Oregon and Washington and their interests and security. A government that can keep it's priorities in check without contempt.

5. To promote in the public and the private sector the conservation and safeguarding of the environment. To find a common balance between progress and the insurance of the environment for the present and future generations to come.

6. To push for greater civil liberties, rights, and freedoms for all Oregonians and Washingtonians.

7. Cascadia has the potential of being among the 10 wealthiest nations in the World. We can be better suited in having more control over our economy as opposed to those who now control it and regulate it in Washington, D.C. We can have a free-enterprise system that can benefit everybody without exploitation or unbridled greed.

8. Should Cascadia have aspirations of joining the United Nations, the people must put the issue to a referendum vote. The CNP does support the idea of U.N. membership. With U.N. membership, Cascadia can A. Enhance our presence and influence in the World community. B. We also can benefit and contribute to various U.N. organizations.
