1. Upon independence, Cascadia is to sign the Kyoto Treaty for Climate Control as well as the Rio Declaration on the Environment and Development. The CNP wholeheartedly agrees with the terms of the treaties.

2. The full funding and strong enforcement of anti-pollution laws and cleanup of all toxic sites.

3. The introduction of a stronger Endangered Species Act to safeguard the protection of the ecosystem.

4. To enforce and encourage companies to use recyclable and environmentally friendly practices in their industries.

5. Designate 75% of state lands as non-development areas. They will not be used for commercial means. The other 25% would be used to suit the needs of industry however under the guidelines set forth of our environmental laws.

6. Encourage those in the rural areas, farmers and ranchers, to use more organic and free-range practices for their businesses. The CNP objects to the use of genetic, bioengineered foods and deadly toxic herbicides on the land.

7. Ban the cutting down of all old-growth forests as well as unnecessary clear-cutting and strip mining.

8. The support of all ecological restoration programs based conservation biology.

9. Those who engage in illegal dumping, logging, clear-cutting, and mining, both corporate and private individuals will be severely prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
