Valiant Information, Specifications and Facts
Slant Six engines may be identified by locating the Engine number stamped on a tab on the right side of the front of the engine just below the cylinder head.
Many times the tab is hard to see because of dirt and grease, but trust me it's there. It's only about 2inches long and runs from the back to front.
In 1960 the Valiant had the most size, weight, performance and price. The Valiant had better interior decor, seats were higher and rear passenger room was better then in Falcons and Corvairs. And because of the very low floor line, there is more space for feet then in most larger cars!
