I'm sick and tired of hearing:
"You're Brazilian? You MUST speak Brazilian"
or:
"You're Brazilian? They speak spanish down there right?"
or even:
"You're Brazilian? Where is that again, which continent?"

Brazilians speak portuguese my friends, and though almost all countries surrounding Brasil (that's how they spell it there) speak spanish, that is no excuse. Brazil has the 4th largest area of any country and the 5th largest population.

Another thing I can't stand is when people envision Brazil as being a dump, which it is not. There are certainly parts of brazil, the favelas(slums) for instance, that wouldn't be a place you would like to be in, but the rest of brazil is absolutely incredible.

This site is dedicated to showing that incredible side of Brazil.
