~ Ravenna Angelline

 | November 1st, 2005 - Ravenna's
Samhain 2005 is up and ready for everyone. This year's Samhain was
a spectacular event, but I'll let people read about it my little
article. Things are gearing up for Yule now. I'm aiming to move
this site and it's sisters to their own domain after the first of the year,
so that's coming along as well. We're working on the graphics and
layout constantly. I want to make sure that all my visitors will be
impressed by the new changes, so I'm not skimping on anything. My
birthday is in 2 days - November 3rd. I'll be 25 years old this
year. Eep. Scary thought. Ahh, but I love my
birthday! |
 | September 27, 2005 - So I've added the Ravenna's
Mabon 2005 blurb. It was a very lovely day and I really enjoyed
myself this year. Now it's time for me to start working on
getting the new layout for Samhain up and running. I'm also working on
a newsletter that will go out for each sabbat. A few new things in the
links section: a brand new website for a great coven in the Seattle area
of Washington. Covenant of
the Flaming Star has a new website, complete with online registration
for their public rituals (next up is Samhain)! Check it out! I
can hardly wait to see what other neat things they have in store for their
new web presence. |
 | September 06, 2005 - Got most of the Mabon
pages up and running. Just need to add the stories and this section
will be done for the time being. Coming this Samhain, however, will be
some big changes. New pages, new features and lots of fun stuff to be
had. I can hardly wait to get the pages up and running. Also in
the works is a plan to combine my websites and move everything to my own
domain. This probably won't happen until after the first of the year,
but it will definitely happen!! In the meantime, enjoy what I've got
here. |
 | August 01, 2005 - A fun evening to be sure.
I've been really sick the last 4 days, so I didn't get to go and bake any
bread with TK today, but I did manage to bake a couple of loaves to take to
ritual, a loaf of honey whole wheat bread and some cornbread. Yum,
Yum!! Next up, it's time to start working on the Mabon section. That's
going to take me a bit of time, but I'll get those pages up in the next
couple of weeks, until then, ta ta for now!! |
 | July 26, 2005 - Lughnassadh is this coming
Monday. It should be a nice ritual. I'm very much looking
forward to it, ritual in the evening with my Craft Sisters and
Brothers. Though I think I am most looking forward to spending some
time with my work friend TK. She and I are going to be baking bread to
celebrate the festival together. Something very simple, and yet at the
same time... very meaningful. Anyway, the Lughnassadh pages are all up
and running. Took me a bit, but I finished with them, and I'm happy
with the results. I'll add my little blurb about this year's
celebration probably next Tuesday!! Brightest Blessings, all! |
 | June 11, 2005 - I started a job a few weeks
ago. First time I've had a real job in almost four years.
It's very exciting!! But at the same time, I don't have a lot of time to
work on my websites a whole lot, so that sort of sucks. My boys take
up most of what is left of my free time. Anyway! Midsummer is right
around the corner. It's been almost a year since the craziness of my
life wrapped up in one way or another. Almost a year since I found out
I was pregnant with little Finn. Things have definitely settled down into a
nice little routine for me. I'm working on finishing up all the Midsummer
pages today. After that, I've got some updates for my sister site Ravenna's
Web of Shadows - but we'll see if I can get to those today.
Probably tomorrow or Monday though. |
 | May 03, 2005 - Well, Beltaine has come and gone,
check out the Beltaine pages to see what I did
this year for my Beltaine celebration, it really was fantastic!! So
anyway, I've begun to work on the Midsummer
pages, adding in a few new goodies and yet once again, I'm on the prowl for
all sorts of stuff having to do with the Summer Solstice!! Keep
looking back, there'll be much more coming in the next few weeks!! |
 | March 22, 2005 - Working on the website
again. Pretty soon, I'll be moving to a new domain. My
own domain. Hooray!! I'm sick of the crappy service I
get here with the free server. Anyway, forgive any bugs and
bizarre things that will be popping around here over the next couple
of days... I'm changing the theme, and so pages will disappear and
appear at random... and some of them may not have the current theme
like the rest of the web. It happens. Stupid Angelfire. |
 | March 08, 2005 - Updated the Ostara
Rituals section, added a new solitary and group ritual. I
still like the format used for the family ritual, though I think
after this year's Ostara, I may change it to show you all what we
did in my family. I have sooo many things to finish up for
this section... it just seems like Ostara has snuck up on me this
year. I guess my sons have just been keeping me more busy this
year, such is the way of things. Anyway! Yup, things are
moving along nicely! |
 | February 28, 2005 - Well, this month
has just flown by it seems. Lots of things happened in the
past few weeks. First thing, my Grandfather passed away on the
7th of February from various forms of cancer. Then not seven
days later, one of my dearest Craft Sisters passed away from
complications with her fibromyalgia medications. The news of
her transition was enough to rock my world to my very core.
Then in the midst of my sorrow came one of my greatest joys.
February 14 saw the birth of my second child, a
son. Finley George is welcomed into this life. His 2
Goddess Mothers are ecstatic to say the very least to meet him, and
his big brother is taking the job of being the "Big
Brother" very seriously. It's very sweet.
Anyway, some changes of course in the
works. Ostara is just around the corner... we are very much
looking forward to it in our house. My oldest is just starting
to understand the concept of the Easter Bunny, and to find
that in our family he gets to be visited by the Ostara
Bunny twice is just mind-boggling to him. I've been
referencing a book by Ashleen O'Gaea (I highly recommend it to any
and all Pagan Parents) Celebrating the Seasons of Life: Samhain
to Ostara. It has great ideas on what sorts of things to
introduce to your little Witchlings according to age and
development. Simply a must have book!! |
 | January 18, 2005 - Imbolc is 14 days away. I
think. I'll have to count to be sure, but I know it's right around the
corner. I'm working on a ritual of Purification and Preparation for
myself. I'll also be Invoking the Goddess Brighid during the ritual,
and focusing on Her aspect of Midwifery, I feel it is important that I do
that, since I'm due to deliver my child sometime in February. Other
than that, not much going on. A few things will be added in the coming
couple of weeks to the Imbolc section. This year, I'll be writing more
about my own personal practices and experiences as the Wheel of the Year
turns once more. Come back soon and see what I've added! |
