Top 40!

(Pontification time... The term Top 40 original referred to a listing, by Billboard Magazine, of the top 40 best selling single records (45's - little record, big spindle hole) for the previous week. Some radio station started playing only these singles and came to be known as "Top 40" stations. You would be amazed at how many clubs, bands, and fans, use the term to describe their music, without any consideration for the contemporary nature of the term. So I stole the term for the following list. It isn't the Billboard Top 40. It ain't even 40. But let's not truth and fact get in the way of the big picture!)
