THE REMINDER PHONE CALL

Walkin' Willie Sez:

"The last and most important parts of your Volunteer Recruitment" effort is The Reminder Phone Call. All that work you've just done in setting up a "boiler room" phone bank and/or using "Piggy Back Mail" or methods, such as recruiting by speaking to political groups, could be nothing. You must get your phone squads to call those who have indicated they will volunteer ABOUT TWO DAYS BEFORE THEY ARE SCHEDULED TO REPORT for their stint."
"People just forget" The first time we did a door-to-door canvass, I called several people who offered to volunteer to find out why thy hadn't showed up after they promised they would. You wouldn't believe how many people said they just plain "FORGOT"

THE FOLLOW-UP PHONE CALL
