District Chair – carry out the King County Republican Party program
at the Legislative District level
Regional Chairs
– carry out the District program at the Regional level
Area Chairs
– carry out District and Regional programs at the Area
level
Treasurer
– keep bank account and Public Disclosure Commission reports
current; prepare and submit Treasurer’s reports at monthly District meetings
PCO Recruiting Chair
– establish team of recruiters by working with
Regional and Area Chairs; using lists of identified Republicans, identify
willing volunteers to become PCOs or Precinct Chairs in empty precincts
PCO Training Chair
– ensure that new PCOs and Precinct Chairs know
their duties and their opportunities to promote the Republican Party and elect
Republican candidates; ensure that PCOs and Precinct Chairs have the training
and materials to carry out their duties
Recording Secretary
– record and keep minutes; keep current address
and telephone list of PCOs, Precinct Chairs, and staff, and make current copies
of lists available to District staff
Credentials Chair
– maintain PCO list of who is eligible to vote at
the biennial County Reorganization Meeting and the biennial District Caucus;
maintain PCO and Precinct Chair list of who is eligible to vote at District
meetings, such as for District endorsements or District expenditures; support
the King County Credentials Committee
Fundraising Chair
– help find and maintain contacts with potential
fundraising sources; help develop fundraising programs
Communications Chair
– write and/or edit the District newsletter and
any other content that goes out in the District’s name, such as political
mailings or event announcements
Platform Chair
–maintain copy of current King County platform
and prepare for any upcoming platform deliberations; support the King County
Platform Committee
Rules Chair
– maintain copy of current King County rules; arrange for
District Caucus attendees to have a copy of King County rules; support the King
County Rules Committee
Parliamentarian
– keep current copy of Robert’s Rules of Order,
Newly Revised; support District Chair in making rulings at meetings
Telephone Chair
– assist District Chair in implementing phone trees to
get word out
Districts need not use all these positions in their organizational structure;
these are recommendations for helping your district function most
efficiently.
