Saving Grace

I’m holding you,
You are the clasp and the chain,
You are my unrest,
You are my joy, you are my pain.
You are the noticeable stillness
Between the strike and the chime,
Silence resounds around
Your heart pounding next to mine.
You throw my balance,
You bend my inner ear,
I walk straighter
When you are near.
I’m holding you,
I can touch your face,
You are the dream and the delusion,
You are my anguish, you are my saving grace.
