Comet
Thru a midnight hued sky, I blazed thru your life,
A comet bound from a distant sun.
Streaking across the heavens,
A celestial presence come undone.
In luminous particles raining down,
A cosmic shower, there and gone.
Laughter and smiles, tears and pain,
In the burning passion of pre-dawn.
Star-crossed lovers at such dizzying heights,
The altitude alone made us grin.
What remains now along that uncertain path
Are infinite ashes in a dusty tailspin.
