It is probable that Sally’s original name was Sarah, but she is one listed in one record as such. Sally was a Baptist by religion and remained a faithful member of the First Baptist Church for her whole life. She was married at her parent’s home in Sanbornton by the Rev. Crocket to John Wadleigh on March 4, 1814. Afterwards they settled on the Wadleigh homestead in Sanbornton and had 7 children: Molly, Mary, Jonathan, Sarah, Eliza, John, and Daniel. Sally continued to live on the Wadleigh farm, where her husband probably needed a great deal of help because of an axe wound on his leg. Sally died at her home on May 8, 1858 at the age of 66. She was afterwards buried in the First Baptist Church Cemetery beside her husband John who died in 1850.
Sally married John Wadleigh on March 3, 1814 in Sanbornton, Strafford (now Belknap) Co., New Hampshire 1,3.
For information on their children, see his page.
