Vintasy Submission Guidelines
Numerous spelling, punctuation, grammar, and tense errors will result in your fiction not being posted here. Slight errors will be tolerated, but if there are too many I will not be able to post your fiction on L.T.V. I recommend you at least go over every chapter you write, and at the best have a good beta reader look at your work for you. You can usually find someone willing to beta read for you on a Message Board listed at this site. There are numerous boards you can become a member of.
These are the guidelines for submitting fan fiction to Living The Vintasy. These rules are necessary and must be followed if you want your fiction to be archived here. Following these rules will ensure that your fiction will be posted here. If you do not follow these guidelines it will result in your fiction not being posted.
One: Space paragraphs, as each of these rules is separated.
Two: Read your work before you submit it. Check it for spelling, grammar, and punctuation errors. If you don't feel you can properly edit your own work, look for a beta reader.
Three: Slash fiction is at the discretion of the mistress and will be posted only upon review. Please be advised that submission of these fics does not ensure it being posted to the site.
Four: All original characters should be yours, created and written.
Five: Follow the template on this page. I need to know the name of your fiction and the name you wish to have your fiction posted under. A short summary needs to be included as well as a rating. Include how many chapters of the story you have written so far (that will be posted at that time) and if the fiction is complete or incomplete.
Six: All sexual content should be with characters of a legal age. In other words, no Riddick with a fourteen year old. Rape situations are acceptable. Keep all sex to persons at least sixteen years of age, preferably eighteen years of age. Please, use your best judgment.
Seven: No fictions containing Vin as a person. Fantasies of Vin, as himself, will not be accepted on any terms. Please do not name any of your characters Vin, Diesel, or anything that may be linked to Vin as a person. Only characters containing the names of characters he has portrayed will be allowed. IE - "Vin and her, I, etc..." fictions will not be permitted, but "Riddick and her, I, etc..." will be accepted.
Eight: When submitting via email these formats will be recognized as acceptable: Word Pad (.doc), text (.txt), Microsoft Works documents, Notepad, etc... In other words, if I can open it with Windows 98 standard word processor programs, you can send your fiction to me that way. I do except attachments.
Nine: Submit your fiction! As of right now, I'm only accepting fictions through email so send them to me at bylderchic@hotmail.com.
Title: I'm sure this is self-explanitory.
Author: This should include your name or the pen name you wish your fiction to be listed under. If you want feedback on your fiction, please include your email address in this section.
Rating: G, PG, PG-13, R, NC-17... Please include descriptive words such as: Language, (Graphic) Violence, (Graphic) Sexual Content, Adult Situations, etc... Please use a NC-17 rating for anything that includes graphic sexual content, especially rape or non-consensual sex. Graphic violence can be catogorized as just rated R. Just use your best judgement.
Summary: This should summarize your fiction in short. Keep it brief and neat, and be careful not to let the entire plot of your story be exposed here. Feel free to add special descriptive words such as Alternate Universe, Parody/Humor, etc... in this section.
Number of Chapters: Just give me the number of chapters you are sending me the first time you submit your fiction. I'll make appropriate changes to this section as your fiction progresses.
Complete/Incomplete: Should your fiction be a work-in-progress slap an INCOMPLETE in this section. But, if you're done with this fiction at its point of submission, just stick a COMPLETE here and it will be noted. This helps people know if they will be getting a cliffhanger or if they will be able to finish the whole thing off in a sitting or two, or three...
