Mexico the Visitors

Ivanna Danse
Ebbtide Correspondent

I am not ashamed in my claim that Mexico will easily win the CONCACAF preliminary round.

But don't you fret, America, because you only have to finish in the top three, and you should easily accomplish that.

But nobody can match the sheer brilliance of Mexico's attack. In fact, I am going to go as far as to say that Mexico will compete in the championship of the 2006 World Cup in Germany. Whether they will beat their opponents I do not know.

Throughout the first two stages of preliminary play, Mexico had a +36 goal differential.

Plus 36!

The speed of the Mexicans this time is too great for anybody to contain, for they will prove to dazzle any and all opponents, with the possible exception of France, and perhaps Brazil.

Now, I know what you're thinking noble pessimist. How can Mexico be this awesome when they placed in perhaps the weakest group of all?

And I say to you: A +26 goal differential is not easy against even the worst of teams.

These fleet-footed Mexicans scored an astounding 4.5 goals per match. They have demonstrated stronger defense than in the past and 2006 looks like it is their year.

Hello Germany. Hello trophy.
