Charging by the square foot can be difficult for the carpet cleaning customer to figure out. So I put this page together to take all the guess work out of it.
I charge by the square foot so you only pay for the carpet I clean. When you pay by the room, you pay the same price for each room even though the average living room is nearly 250 square feet, and the average bedroom is closer to 100 square feet. Why pay the same price for a small bedroom as you would a large living room?
So what would it cost to have this sample house cleaned?
1336 square feet @ 30¢ /sq ft = $400.80? NO! The house is 1336 square feet but not the carpeted areas.
830 square feet @ 30¢ /sq ft = $249.00? Yes, but only if I were to clean from wall to wall. Often times only the traffic areas in the bedroom require cleaning.
