CICHLIDS:Cichlids are by far my favorite type of fish because I think they have character Cichlids are fish that like a pH. Of about 7.0 and a temp. of about 27*C but you don’t really need any fancy pH up or pH down just put some limestone rocks in with them and it should be fine! I have 2 venustas, 1 ruby clown, 2 clown loaches, a golden severum, a Mori, an electric yellow, a blue acara, red empress and 3 jewels (2 of which are breeding) these are all kept in a 3 foot tank but I also breed convicts in another 18” tank. I feed my Cichlids sera flora flake which is readily available from most fish shops and about once a week I give them some brine shrimp I have also heard that frozen peas or something can be fed to Cichlids but don’t blame me if your fish die coz of it or something.
