SSH 3K was added to the state highway system in 1937. This route began at Jct PSH 3 (then US 410, now US 12) in pomeroy and headed southeasterly to Peola, then northeasterly, ending at Jct PSH 3 (then US 410, now US 12) just west of Clarkston. When the state highway system was renumbered, SSH 3K became SR 128.
