Secondary State Highway 1X

SSH 1X was added to the state highway system in 1937. This highway began at Jct PSH 1 (US 99) on the west side of Milton, headed east, and ended at Jct SSH 5D (now SR 161) just east of Milton. In October 1962, US 99 in the Milton area was moved from the Pacific Highway to I-5. Former PSH 1 from the west side of Milton to Fife was transferred to SSH 1X. SSH 1X became SR 514 in 1964.
