SR 532 starts on Camano Island about a mile SE of Utsalady and heads east via Stanwood to I-5 Exit 212 where SR 532 ends. The original route of SR 532 from the east side of Stanwood to I-5 was replaced by a 2 lane expressway in the late 1960s or early 1970s. Today, SR 532 is 10.09 miles long.
Before 1964, SR 532 had been SSH 1Y.
