State Route 122

Two different highways have been numbered SR 122 at different times since the current state highway numbering system was first posted in January 1964.

Earlier SR 122

When the current state highway numbering system was first posted in 1964, SR 122 started at Jct US 830 (implicitly an extension of SR 12) at Lyle and headed ENE to Jct US 97 at Goldendale. When SR 12 became SR 14 after the White Pass Highway became part of US 12 in 1967, SR 122 was renumbered SR 142.

Before 1964, this route had been the later route of SSH 8E.

Later SR 122

A different SR 122 was added to the state highway system effective April 1, 1992. The new SR 122 starts at Jct US 12 at Silver Creek, goes around the north side of Mayfield Lake via Ike Kinswa State Park, and returns to US 12 at Mossyrock. SR 122 is 7.88 miles long.
