The March 4, 2002 meeting was called to order at 7:20pm by Vice President, Terry Burger. The minutes of last month’s meeting were read by Marlene Weikart. Mike Genson gave the Treasurer’s report. There was $510.42 in the treasury minus the postage costs of $51.10 leaving a current balance of $459.32.

OLD BUSINESS: Checked with John Cockrum again on the progress of the Club Medallion research. Mike Genson said he would bring some notes to the next meeting on his Medallion research to be considered.

RENDEZVOUS REPORT: Don Weikart reported that Wayne & Lynn stepped forward to organize the shoot for the Rendezvous. Mike and Ron also volunteered, but Wayne & Lynn had beat them to it; but if they want to do some additional shoots, etc. it would be all right with Don.

--Flyers were made and will be available at Rick and Jean’s trade table at the Gun Show. Alfredo posted a copy of the flyer on the Internet. --Raffles: Mike Genson will donate a pheasant hunt. Lynn Hunt will donate a Belt Bag.

--Wayne asked if there was some way to help Mike out with feeding the Pheasants; Mike feeds them Game Bird Chow Flight Condition, if people are interested in donating.

NEW BUSINESS: John Pidgeon gave a report on the Coeur d’alene Gun Show. He said sales were bad, but the socializing was great. His friend who makes the tin ware will be at the Enumclaw Gun Show.

Howard will be at the Gun Show to sell Beadwork, etc. and will be sharing a table with Hogland. Lynn will have quill work and will be sharing a table with a friend from Montana.

A report was made by Lynn on Ralph’s craftsmanship of his guns.

Howard made a comment on how good the shoot was in February. (Mike said Queenie loved the Beaver tails.)

March Shoot: Alfredo will bring Chili fixings; Weikart’s will bring cheese, and Mike will bring the bread. John Pidgeon will be putting on the March shoot, expect anything.

There will be a Blacksmithing seminar on April 6th by Pawnee Blanchard @ 9am at his place.

Lynn Hunt gave a report on the WinterBend Rendezvous at Horse Ridge in Bend, OR (13 miles East of Bend). It is always scheduled for the 2nd full weekend in February, there were 176 shooters! They have a nice location, but definitely a shooter’s Rendezvous. Howard will get flyers for next year’s Rendezvous.

APRIL 13th: MEETING will be at Elks Springs along with the APRIL SHOOT and the SPRING RENDEZVOUS WORK PARTY, come prepared for all THREE!!

Meeting adjourned at 8:15pm.

THANK YOU MARLENE!
