That is a very good question and it requires a bit of response:
Since I came here from Chicago over ten years ago, I have often thought about why my attention had been drawn to the Pacific Northwest since even before I was converted. It was because of faith that I came here when the Ruach used the verses in Bereishit 12:1-3 to prompt me to go.
Bereishit 12:1 Now YHWH had said unto Abram, "Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee ..."
This was the answer I had wanted to hear in direct response to my prayers at the time about Revelation 12:6 and now I can say unequivocally, that all the chapter 12's in the scriptures have a common theme running through them. Let me further state that the land here is quite spectacular, to say the least, so much so that it is a favorite destination for many a European and Asian traveller.
This place is named after the founder of the nation and first president of the United States of America as you know. DC has been the seat of power in the nation until now, but I feel that our national sovereignty is almost at an end. When I was first told that, if the valleys in Jerusalem were veiwed from above, they form the Hebrew letter shin, which is the same letter that appears on many mezuzot. This letter is an abbreviation for El Shaddai, the all sufficient One. I noticed that there is also a shin here in this place, in the very name waSHINgton. The difference between DC and here is the difference between the past and the future.
There is a river here that is the most powerful river system in North America, the Columbia, which is a Latin word that means 'dove', a type of the Ruach haKodesh. Their is a story in the land here and in the names of the features it holds. Down in Idaho, there is a river called the Clearwater which might bring up memories in many peoples minds of the sixties rock group Creedence Clearwater Revival, a band noted for its many songs with prophetic overtures about the endtimes. What 'clearwater' suggests is the written word, the scriptures, as in the waSHINg of the water with the word that husbands should do for their wives. The Clearwater river flows just north of Lewiston, Idaho and Clarkston, WA. They are separated by the Snake River, which arises in the wilderness of Idaho and coils around until it reaches Hell's Canyon, which is the deepest gorge in North America (over 7,000 feet, so deep it looks like a bottomless pit from Heaven's Gate) on one side of which is a lookout called 'Heaven's Gate' and on the other a mountain range called 'Seven Devils'. The Snake comes out of Hell's Canyon flowing due north, quite unusual for most rivers in the northern hemisphere, until it passes through Hell's Gate which is the mouth of the Snake River at Anatone, WA., just south of Clarkston.
At Lewiston the Snake overpowers the Clearwater while making a right angle turn at the place the native Americans called the Tseminicum. This is a parable about how evil spirits can twist and pervert the meaning of scripture from the pulpit, when the Snake perverts and overpowers the Clearwater, the pulpit symbolized by Lewiston (city of the Levites). I have never lived in a place where the word was more twisted than in Lewiston-Clarkston area, but I don't think they have exclusivity in this practice and surely I have not been everywhere. Downriver at the Tri-cities (Richland-Pasco-Kennewick), the Columbia (the Dove), overpowers the Snake until it reaches the Pacific (Shalom) Ocean.
I know this kind of analogy and metaphor drives those who have yet to sanctify their intellect crazy, but there is much more that can be said about this topic. Let me continue with this: There are only two places in the Book of the Revelation of Yahshua haMashiah where the phrase in the wilderness is found and both refer to the respective location of two Women, which is a metaphor for a spiritual people. The Woman Israel goes to her place which is prepared for her in the wilderness. Traditionally, prophetically, and historically, this phrase 'in the wildernesss' refers to the whereabouts of the Woman Israel wherever it is found in scripture. The Tribes of Israel have migrated to the North and to the West according to the Prophecy that says 'with the horns of an ox'.
Deuteronomy 33:17 His glory is like the firstling of his bullock, and his horns are like the horns of unicorns: with them he shall push the people together to the ends of the earth: and they are the ten thousands of Ephraim, and they are the thousands of Manesseh.
These two sons of Yoseph encamped at the west end of the Tabernacle (Mishkan) in the wilderness, under the ensign of an ox, which animal symbolizes the holder of the Birthright and the Blessing, which included with it the most productive grain producing areas of the earth, and the cattle that could be raised from that abundance. They also were closest to the Holy of Holies where the presence, the shekinah, was strongest. But if they wanted to enter in to the sanctuary, they had to go all the way to the opposite end of the tabernacle in the wilderness where the Tribe of Yehudah who honored the Torah, was encamped under the ensign of a Lion, where the only Door was to be found.
The other woman rides a scarlet Beast that has seven heads and ten horns. She too, is described as being in the wilderness.
I have noticed that there is a one-for-one correspondence between the Western United States and Eretz Israel. On the coasts they have great ocean ports like Vancouver, Seattle, and Portland, and in Israel there was Byblos and Tyre and Sidon. Great trees were found on the western slopes of the coastal mountain ranges like the Cedars of Lebanon and algum, and here in the Pacific Northwest there are Redwood, Sequoia, and Douglas Fir. They had the perverse cities of the Canaanites, we have cities of luxury and perversion from San Francisco, named for a canonized Roman Catholic homosexual, to the San Fernando Valley, where more porn movies are produced for sale than anywhere else in the world. Further down the coast from Israel, and not all that far away, one finds Egypt which filled the then known world with idolatry and immorality. We have Los Angeles, the City of (fallen) Angels which fills the world with visual idolatry, perversion, and mayhem. Across the desert to the north east there are cities of licensed gambling and prostitution (Vegas, Reno) and in ancient times in Israel one would find cities like Sodom and Gomorrah. There is an Inland Dead Sea in Israel, and a Great Salt Lake here in Utah to the east of which one finds places like Ammon,Idaho and Moab, Utah.
More Egyptian red lentils are grown on the Palouse Prairie just south of here (Spokane), than anywhere else in the world: that is the variety avinu Ya'akov fed Esav when the birthright was sold for a mess of pottage. Myrtle (Heb. Haddassah, Esther) trees, one of the varieties used in making sukkot (tabernacles), are native to two places on earth: Oregon and Israel. Within the last ten years WaSHINgton has become one of the premier wine producing areas (be careful; there is still a lot of rattlesnakes in them vineyards) in the world and has the second largest farm economy in the nation just behind California and BIGGER THAN TEXAS wth over 440 varieties grown and marketed. At last measurement Mount Rainier was 14,410 ft. tall.
When one crosses the Continental Divide going east, the land drops increasingly until one reaches the Mississippi River, which is like a giant gutter in the Midwest and the drain of the whole continent, and at the bottom of which all the scum collects in New Orleans. Cajuns, short for Accadians, are an ancient folk who always lived at the mouth of rivers and feasted on the broth of abominations and praciticed vile superstitions. Their peoples migrated before they were in Louisiana from the mouth of the St. Lawrence in Canada, and before that from Marseille, France again at the mouth of a river, and before that from Greece in a similarly situated location, and before that from Akkadia in ancient Babylon. The land between the rivers, mesopotamia, hosted the cities of the plain which were walled cities. Mishpatami means 'the people of my judgment'. The difference between the huge cities of ancient Sumeria: Erek, Akkad, Calneh, Nineveh, Urartu, Babylon etc. and the megalopoli of the Untied States: New York City, Chicago, Cleveland, Detroit, Cincinnatti, Columbus, Pittsgurgh, Indianapolis, Atlanta, Chattanooga-Cleveland, Memphis, St,. Louis, Kansas City, Brimingham, etc., etc., etc., is that here we have the land of unwalled cities. I think it was David Wilkerson (confirmation?) who made known that all the ships (churches?) that come in from the Atlantic at New York, must line up first with Babylon, New York. New York always was the trend setting city in the U.S. of A, anyway.
When YHWH judges his nations, he divides them: Israel, Germany, etc. When He judges this nation a malak (an angel) will smite this land on the New Madrid Fault near Cape Girardeau, Missouri (best known for its favorite son, Rush Limbaugh) and divide this land into two wildernesses. Just as there were more Jews in Babylon at the time of Yahshua, where only one tenth of them ever returned to eretz Israel since the days of Ezra and Nehemiah, so too now, the highest concentration of Jews in the world inhabits the cities of the eastern coast of the Untied States, especially in Florida and New York-New Jersey. MiAMI is my people and the time is here for the endtime message to be preached, and that message is "Come out of her MY PEOPLE."

And what concord has the Messiah with Belial? or what part has he that believes with an infidel? And what agreement has the temple of YHWH with idols? for you are the temple of the living Elohim; as YHWH has said,

Wherefore COME OUT FROM AMONG THEM, and be ye separate, saith YHWH, and touch not the unclean thing .....(This is our basis and reason for ALL New Testament BELIEVERS to study Torah, for if you do not study Torah, you will never distinguish between the clean and the unclean.)
...... and I will receive you, and will be a Father unto you, and you shall be my sons and daughters," saith YHWH, El Shaddai.
Revelation 18:1-8 And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory. And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, "Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird. For ALL GENTILES have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies."
And I heard another voice from heaven, saying,
"COME OUT OF HER, MY PEOPLE, that you be not partakers of her sins, and that you receive not of her plagues. For her sins have reached unto heaven, and YHWH has remembered her iniquities. Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double unto her double according to her works: in the cup which she hath filled fill to her double. How much SHE HAS GLORIFIED HERSELF .....
