Character Description
Gunn is a street kid, who, along with his sister, Alonna had been
living on the streets since running away from the orphanage a while back.
He knows how to survive and is the leader of a gang who are fighting
vampires. Angel discovered this group, and was captured by them, and during
this time a horde of vampires broke into their home and kidnapped a
selection of the kids, including Gunns sister who was turned into a
vampire.
Gunn ended up staking his sister because he saw that she was already
dead, and then, before things could get nasty, Angel turned up and
frightened the other Vampires off. He then spoke to Gunn and told him that
he may, at sometime, nee his help, Gunn accepted this fact. So now, Gunn is
a second party member of Angel investigations, coming to Angels aid twice
so far, mainly to help him break into Wolfram and  Hart’s law firm. He still lives on the streets fighting
vampires his own way, but there is the distinct impression that Gunn will
move away from that to join Angel properly. But it will not be certain until season 2 what Gunn will be
up to, for now, he’ll stick to fighting vampires his own way.
