Dear Dr. Murray,
Permit me to congratulate you on such an excellent website and even more
excellent science. I came to your site by way of the news brief from Dr.
Murray on the BBC News. The attached brief which I am sending to all majo
r media, is meant only to represent Sitchin's interest and is a celebrati
on of a long overdue scientific development which he has awaited some 25
years and I -- and many others -- for close to twenty. Certainly the reve
lation of the tenth planet to modern society will be a tremendous event i
n itself and the public owes a real debt of gratitude to you and the othe
r researchers involved.
Your contribution may be far greater in importance than you realize prese
ntly. Even the current data being assembled by you and your colleagues is
very close to the data from the ancient records. The ramifications for a
rchaeology, history and religion will be even more profound: acknowledgme
nt of the existence of the tenth planet, Planet X in the popular mind and
Planet Nibiru to the Sumerians, Marduk to the Babylonians, Olam to the a
ncient Hebrews, means inescapable recognition of at least the possibility
of the Anunnaki (Sumerian: those who came down from the heavens) still i
nhabiting it, with all that means for our nderstanding of ourselves, our
beginnings and our history. (Yes, there are reasons why humanoid habitati
on of Nibiru is possible even at those distances at apogee.) I dealt with
these ramifications in 1987 in Breaking The Godspell. I hope that you an
d the other researchers involved in this investigation do not run into pr
essures in this regard.
I cannot ascertain from the media clips precisely how your data correlate
s with that from the IRAS and am fascinated by what seems might be possib
le wide variations?
I would respectfully submit the speculation that the origin of the Oort c
loud would be a direct result of the collisional event between Nibiru and
Marduk, as was the asteroid belt, at least some comets and meteorites, t
he portion of material which, by the physics of the impact, would have fa
llen in that sector and at velocities
where there would be a natural sweeping of such debris along with the out
bound Nibiru. Retrograde orbits of comets and such probably have their in
itiation here also.
I am most concerned that the computer modeling be accomplished as soon as
possible. The ancient documents detail disruptive and dangerous physical
phenomena, earthquakes, storms, etc. occurring on earth on the close pas
sage through the inner solar system of Nibiru. The ability to anticipate
its periodic return would be very helpful. It may be the cause of some of
the geologically recorded catastrophic events of the past, perhaps pole
reversals, magnetic wanderings. Because of a 3600 year orbital periodicit
y and perigee at the
point of the original collision in what is now the asteroid belt (known t
o the early civilizations as the "Hammered Bracelet" although we are not
supposed to have discovered it until rather recently ...) there seems to
be a very good possibility, due to the position of the planets relative t
o it and the sun at the time of passing (Nibiru means "The Passing") , th
at perigee could take it , say, between Mars and Earth, or much closer to
Jupiter, or so close to Mars, as a Uranus sized planet or larger, that i
t may have been just the ticket to strip Mars of its
atmosphere.
I have a videotape clip from the documentary We Are Not Alone of the meet
ing between Sitchin and Harrington and the degree of agreement is quite a
mazing. It is less gratifying that, Harrington having been confident of h
is data enough (apparently on the basis of the IRAS data) to send a scope
to Black Birch, New Zealand, to search from the southern hemisphere beca
use it was considerably below the ecliptic and on the way back in, on his
untimely death the scope was yanked out of there, as one observer remark
ed, "almost before he was
cold". I am not saying anything like conspiracy or any such nonsense. I a
m saying that there are interests who would patronizingly control the rel
ease of information that is anticipated would upset the masses for other
than purely scientific reasons. The Phobos II incident is a single excell
ent example. The series of public announcements about the possible tenth
by the IRAS team in '83-'84 resembled the cavalier sequence of pronouncem
ents by the Air Force about the Roswell incident. The most significant ho
wever was probably Ray
Reynolds of AMES in the New York Times, Jan 30, 1983 saying that "astrono
mers are so sure of it that all that remains is to name it".
A related item of interest is the cylinder seal (hard stone "rolling pin"
type device incised in reverse with text and pictures used to print wet
clay tablets) RV/243 in the East Berlin museum exhibited by Sitchin in Th
e Twelfth Planet which shows the sun with a series of disks arranged arou
nd it of the proper size and location
representing all the planets in our system including the tenth. It is 450
0 years old. It is clearly true, as the skeptics object, that humans at t
hat time did not have the scopes or equipment to see all the planets or t
he physics to determine them but they could have been and were taught abo
ut them.
On your request I will forward by email a white paper The Alien Question:
An Expanded Perspective that only within the last two weeks I have been
submitting to a wide spectrum of organizations from the McClendon Study G
roup to the Human Potential Foundation to MUFON. In it I mention that the
re-discovery of the tenth planet or traces of its previous existence (gr
avitationally captured in could also mean gravitationally captured away?
--- Napier and Clube, The Cosmic Serpent has some great stuff on this ---
or it could have met with some
catastrophic destruction) or definitive proof of its non-existence , is t
he key to the validation or demise of Sitchin's entire thesis. It is fasc
inating that these announcements come coincidentally with it.
Obviously, I highly recommend Sitchin's work and translations in this reg
ard and I will be happy to furnish any pertinent information or reference
s you might find desirable.
Best wishes,
Neil Freer
