Rick Wise is in his 2nd year as the Corps Director of the Crusaders, which is also its 2nd year of existance. As one of its primary funders, Ricks love for the Drum Corps Idiom runs deep.
Ricks first years of Drum Corps were spent on percussion, with the Salamaca Black Knights, from Salamaca, NY(1963-1966). Those were his last years in the Junior ranks, and rick decided to take to the sea's, and Joined the US Navy from 1966-1967. Opon his return from the military, Rick jumped right back into Drum Corps from 1968-1971 with the Rochester Crusaders Senior Drum & Bugle Corps, from Rochester, NY. Rick also spent 1973 with the Harvey Seeds American Legion Parade Corps, and has been a Drum Corps Fan ever since.
Rick is one of the primary funders of 'Drums Along the Rogue' in Medford OR, and formed the Southern Oregon Crusaders in January of 1999. Rick is also activly involved in the ARC foundation.
